At Boots for Guys we go to great lengths to make sure we use only the finest leathers on boots. The leather with which we line our boots is equally important. After all this is the leather you will be wearing next to your own skin and is crucial for the wearer's comfort and durability of the boot, which is why our linings are sourced only from specialist suppliers with total traceability. Whatever the style we will always go the extra mile to ensure the hides and skins are perfectly adapted to your order.
Heavyweight Smooth Calf LeatherFull aniline calf hide has the most natural "handle" you could imagine - a term used by bootmakers to describe the rich texture and feel of leather. A good quality aniline leather always has a very agreeable feel when scrunched in your hand. We source ours from the créeme of European tanneries. Centuries of "savoir faire" go into producing leather of this quality.
Nubuck - SuedeTake a quality top grain hide and lightly buff the grain to create a velvety finish or "nap" and you produce a beautiful nubuck suede. This should not be confused with the inferior split suedes found in most "suede" products in High Street shoe stores. Ours is a soft sturdy leather that is incredibly comfortable to wear. Any of our styles can be crafted from it. We can also source different colors on request.
